Philosophy: I believe in a positive approach to teaching. Reinforcing practice time with positive actions. I incorporate Vocal instruction with my piano lessons because listening and being able to sing a melodic line helps performance on the piano. I believe in learning notes thus I also incorporate teaching Music Theory with the Piano instruction. For the upper level student I do not perform music for my students because I feel they should listen to professional performances of music by known concert artist.
I also willingly judge music contests and do Master Classes for students of other teachers.
I served as pianist of West Bradenton Baptist Church from 1970 to 1983. Organized the Freeport, Grand Bahamas Concert Community Choir and directed it from 1964 to 1970.
I have been actively teaching Piano, Voice and Music Theory in Bradenton since 1970. I willingly will provide references from former and existing students for anyone interested in becoming part of my music studio.
