Willing to teach at your home.
I am an experienced private piano teacher who owns master's degree in piano performance, and looking for serious, dedicated piano students to teach.

---About my lessons---

Misuzu Kitazumi piano studio offers beginner to advanced students a systematic approach to piano instruction and emphasis on music fundamentals such as interpretation, technique, rhythmic training, and sight-reading. Ultimately, the main objective is to teach the art of piano through motivation and encouragement while having fun. I hope that my students would reciprocate and give the best of their ability.

I specialized in piano instruction. Students progress according to their level. Beginners will concentrate mainly on basic techniques and sight-reading. When they reach the next level, intermediate students will be instructed on interpretation, tonality, as well as more sophisticated techniques and sight-reading. At the advanced level, students will be encouraged to attend classical concerts to broaden their understanding in playing styles. This experience would lead them to learn higher level interpretation, rhythm control, more intricate techniques. A more comprehensive feedback system such as Certificate of Merit and student recital will also be provided to guide the student to a higher level.

I believe that through the process of learning a musical instrument and performing, students develop self-confidence and motivation that will be truly beneficial in life even if the student decides not to pursue a career in music. Studies have shown that students who have musical aptitude score higher in standardized tests. Musical appreciation is a lifetime journey that evolves through time and it is my utmost goal to share this passion with my students.

Title:  Testimonial from Stephanie K for Misuzu Kitazumi
Testimonial:  "I've received piano lessons from Misuzu Kitazumi for quite a few years, and I have learned to love and play music like I never thought possible. The instructions were both fun and challenging. The lessons provided an opportunity to listen to music more closely and helped me to really play music rather than just repeat what is on the score. I would recommend anyone who is interested in playing music to take the opportunity to experience for yourself how rewarding and fun it is to learn from easy pieces to harder pieces of music that you've always wanted to play.
