Alla Nikitskaya belongs to the generation of Russian pianists who started their careers in late '80s. She was studying at Moscow Conservatory College (1980-1984), Moscow, Russia, and graduated with honor diploma (piano teacher, leader of an orchestra). Then she continued her education at Gnessin Music Teachers Institute (1986-1991). Her work as a piano teacher and an accompanist started when she was still studying at the institute. Upon graduation she had received a diploma of soloist of a chamber ensemble, concertmaster, and piano teacher.

After graduation she began her work at the choir school for children "Gnessinets" as a piano and singing teacher, at the same time continuing giving lessons at the music school.

Alla's students took three first places at the Moscow children's piano competition that took place at 1995. According to results of this competition she was awarded a Pedagogical Mastery diploma.

At the same time she was developing her career as a solo pianist and a piano duet pianist. After graduating master class program in 97 she began touring Russia and having recitals in many Moscow concert halls, such as Moscow Colonny Hall, Gnessin Great Concert Hall, art galleries. As piano duetist she took part in Scriabin Festival held in Moscow Colonny Concert Hall. As a soloist of an orchestra she was taking part in Gendel festival held in Tchaikovsky Concert Hall. She was playing in piano ensembles with different instruments, such as clarinet, saxophone,flute, trumpet, percussions, violin, cello, balalaika, guitar and dombra. She also used to be a children choir accompanist. Moscow radio and TV programs did broadcast her performances. Her repertoire includes works by Schubert, Mozart, Bize, Chopin, Rakhmaninov, Scriabin, Bach, Glinka, Tchaikovsky and other composers.

Alla did private lessons in New Jersey; currently she resides in Manchester, NH.

Her teaching practice is based on synthesis of Russian and American methodologies of piano school, with emphasis on music theory as well as thorough technical mastery.
