Biography:

Vivien Tse is a passionate music teacher based in Burnaby. She is an RCM Certified Teacher as an Elementary, Intermediate, and Advanced Specialist in both piano and theory. She has been playing piano for 25 years. She has a wealth of experience teaching students of various ages ranging from age 4 to 40, as she has been teaching for 9 years since 2007. Vivien teaches all levels of piano from beginner to very advanced levels in a wide variety of musical genres and styles. Under the Royal Conservatory curriculum, she teaches Preparatory to ARCT Piano Performance and ARCT Piano Pedagogy. In addition, she also teaches theory, harmony, history, counterpoint, and analysis. Vivien studied piano pedagogy under Mr. Edward Parker and obtained her ARCT piano performance diploma under the tutelage of Capilano Music professor and RCM examiner David Vandereyk. She graduated from the University of British Columbia in 2009 with a bachelorís degree majoring in Music. She is also a member of the Piano Teachers Federation. In addition to piano, her other musical passions include singing and playing guitar. She teaches in her home studio, conveniently located in the Garden Village neighbourhood in south Burnaby (10 minutes north of Metrotown, 5 blocks from Boundary Road). Students aged 4 and up welcome!
