Do you want your young one to have a well rounded background in music that is fun, as well as enlightening? Greg Taylor has had 23 years professional experience performing and has been teaching piano for 10 years. His performing experience includes solo engagements as well as all kinds of groups and ensembles, encompassing many styles of music including Jazz, Popular, Blues, R&B, Gospel, Contemporary Christian, and classical music. He has been playing piano for some 32 years, and has 20 years of experience with synthesizers, MIDI and computerized music. Offering private instruction in: Jazz Improvisation Gospel Music Popular Music Classical Music Chord reading Piano Technique Music Theory Ear Training MIDI basics Levels: Beginning - Advanced Ages: 6 - Adult. Keyboard students are welcome. Educational Background: University of Colorado (Boulder, CO) Eastman School of music (Rochester, NY) Majored in Music Composition with additional studies in Jazz Improvisation and arranging. Teaching Experience: Greg has been teaching piano as a self-proprietor under 'gptmusic' from 1994 to present. He Taught piano at Atlanta Music Center 1996-1999 (Atlanta, Georgia). Has taught ages 6 - Adult - all levels. Performing experience includes piano bars, restaurants, show bands, Jazz groups, R&B and Blues groups, weddings (ceremonies and receptions), and church bands. Current performing activities: Directing Praise Team and playing keyboards at St. Mark's House of Prayer. Playing keyboards for Linda Styles (Jazz group). Writing and producing original music.
