Violinist Gee Lee attended Department of Music at Kuang-Jen Catholic School, and National Taiwan University of Arts. A recipient of music scholarship offered by French government and a graduate from École Normale de Musique in Paris. He was the principle violinist of L'orchestre symphonique et lyrique de Nancy since 1986, and established Stanislas String Quartet with fellow musicians from the orchestra. He has been performing extensively across Europe, the United States, Japan, Central America, Taiwan, and receives international acclaim from magazines such as Le monde de la musique、The Diapason on his recordings with various genre of repertory from Baroque to Contemporary period. He has also collaborated with internationally accalaimed musicians such as Chen Pi-hsien, Christian Ivaldi, Christophe Coin, Jean-Jacques Kantorow, Lauren Korcia, Alain Planes, Alexander Bailly, etc. Mr. Lee has been teaching as a violin professor in Conservatoire de Strasbourg, in Strasbourg, France as well as Conservatoire de Commercy, in Commercy, France.
Currently Mr. Lee is teaching as an Associate Professor in National Tainan University of Arts, National Taiwan University of Arts, and Shih-Chien University. He is also serving as the principle violinist in Taiwan Artist Ensemble, actively touring as a soloist as well as a chamber musician between Europe and Taiwan.
Taiwanese-Canadian pianist Chenyi (Cheyne) Yu began her piano study at age of seven. At fifteen she entered the department of music in Kuang-Jen Catholic High School, and then Boston Conservatory of Music where she acquired Bachelor of Music and Master of Music in piano performance. She went on to study at Teachers College of Columbia University in New York and obtained Doctor of Education in music. She has studied with Irwin Gelber and Ada Kopetz-Korf who are both pupils of legendary Scottish-American master pianist in the early twentieth century, James Friskin. She has been giving numerous performances in Taipei, Boston, and New York areas, including critically acclaimed performance of Goldberg Variations of J. S. Bach in Seully Hall at Boston Conservatory of Music, the recital debut in Steinway Hall, New York City. She had also participated in piano master classes held by Janice Weber, Jonathan Bass, Michael Lewin, Monique Duphill, Gabriel Chodos, and attended a seminar given by Andras Schiff on the topic of Goldberg Variations by J.S. Bach at Weill Recital Hall in Carnegie Hall. Cheyne was an Adjunct Assistant Professor in Department of Music at Shih-Chien University, Tatung University, and National Taipei University of Technology, teaching piano performance, history of western music and music appreciation. Starting Fall, 2013, she will be working with Canada Music Academy in Toronto.|
