Jeff started teaching piano lessons in 1990, just prior to accepting his first assignment as an elementary general music teacher. Since that time, he has taught music in public schools across Colorado & Iowa for over 27 years, serving on the Colorado Music Educators Association for 12 years, 3 years as the Colorado Elementary General Music Chairman.
Alpine Music Academy is a private lesson studio, run/operated solely by Jeff Van Devender, in it's 27th year as a private music studies organization with over 225 students served. Piano, guitar, ukulele, brass and music theory studies are all available here.
Performance is considered a key element in music study, so opportunities are available and offered through public recitals, community concerts, churches and other special events.
Jeff is a published composer/arranger, educator and performer on the piano. His works have seen worldwide distribution and recently earned him Top 100 recognition with The International Association of Independent Recording ArtistsŪ (IAIRA) organization.
