Natasha Gonzalez, 20, is a classically trained pianist. With 16 years of private training she is now starting her own piano studio right in her very own home. From ages 4 to 18 she has studied under many well known Hispanic musicians and piano teachers such as Miriam Pellicer, Grisel Carrasco, Mayito and Annemaries Domingues. In her higher level training she was taught by renowned piano pedagogues such as Lillian Livingston and Ingrid Clarfield.
Natasha's teaching methods are both innovative and effective, while still following in pursuit of a critical pedagogy foundation. Filled with ideas and theories patented by Freud, Gordon, Suzuki and Kodaly she combines her knowledge of literature and psychology with her own creative teaching approach.
Natasha is also an avid accompanist, working with church cantors, classical soloists and choirs.
Natasha is a self taught organist who has been involved in many church music programs for over 5 years, playing funerals, weddings and masses while also directing both children and adult choir rehearsals.
Natasha speaks both English and Spanish.
Natasha Gonzalez offers piano lessons to students in the Hudson and Bergen County area, as well as the New York City metro area. Students ages 4 through 18 are encouraged to start lessons. Beginners through Early Advanced students are accepted. Special consideration is applicable for adult students.
