As a Teaching Specialist in Piano I have twenty years of experience in the field. I've taught all ages, from the beginner at the preparatory level to those pursuing a college degree.
My education is strong, beginning early as a private student to earning a Master of Arts degree in Music Education with an emphasis in Piano Pedagogy. I had the good fortune to study at an early age with a celebrated Concert Pianist from Chicago. At age ten, I performed at the Fine Arts Building in Chicago as guest pupil and classical music became a strong foundation in my piano studies. Later on, I had the great privilege to play and record with Jazz artist, Hal Russell and the NRG Ensemble of Chicago. This enriched my love for other genres as a departure to classical music and enhanced my ability to embrace and teach the same to others.
Students and parents have told me that my rapport is gentle and patient, and I love to work with children; In fact, working with the beginner is my speciality.
At my website, you'll find a book for the Adult Beginner, a parent of a young beginner, or an Educator of the Beginning Pianist.
