Born in Denver, Colorado to musical parents. Piano lessons at the Lamont School of music where my father taught. Undergraduate degrees, B.Ed, and B.M. at the University of Hawaii. Master's degree, M.M. at the Manhattan School of Music in New York. Also studied jazz at the John Mehegan studio in New York.
Was a member of the Honolulu Symphony playing oboe, English Horn, and Piano. Taught piano and theory at the Punahou Music School in Honolulu Hawaii for eight years. Was the President of the Honolulu Piano Teachers' Guild for two years.
Teaching both jazz and classics for piano, and jazz voice lessons. Performed with my group, 'In Session' at all military installations in Hawaii, and as a duo in California.
Had four students as winners in the Pinault International Piano Competition in New York, performing in Steinway Hall.
