Having taught private piano both privately and in conservatories for the past 40 years, and having raised 8 children of my own, I have developed a nurturing yet disciplined style of teaching. I teach all levels, but mostly the intermediate to advanced student. I teach classical piano, from baroque to 20th century, music theory, and performance practices. I offer seasonal recitals as well as prepare students for local festivals, competitions and auditions. My students have won major competitions, soloed with major conservatories, including the Cleveland Orchestra and New West Symphony, and many have gone into music as a career. Mostly, I teach children and young people the joy of music and the confidence of performance. I recently moved to Houston from a successful studio in Ohio, and am now accepting new students.
