I have both Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Music Theory/Composition, with minors in piano, voice and orchestral conducting. I have been teaching in my own studio since 1979. This is my full time vocation. I provide performance opportunities with two recitals a year. In June we have a contest which provides us an in depth study of a composer, or musical style. Students earn trophies which are presented on stage at the recital. We often take field trips to enhance our study. In December, students are in duet teams, and we perform holiday songs at a local retirement home, then its off to City Museum for a pizza party!
I teach students age 4 through adult and will enthusiastically strive to bring out the best in each student.
