Since my mother was a piano teacher and practicing was the ticket for supper, I began piano study at age 4. I started cello lessons at age 9. I graduated from Wichita State University with a Bachelor of Music double major of Organ Performance and Cello Performance. I earned my Master of Music in Organ Performance from the University of Houston. While a student at Wichita State, I apprenticed to Charles Burbach who was at the time serving as national president of the Piano Technicians Guild. I joined PTG as an Associate Member and soon passed the required examinations and became a Registered Piano Technician. I have had my own piano service business since 1977, Besides tuning and complete service (regulating, voicing, repairing) I do complete restoration of fine pianos. I believe every piano should function at its full potential and strive to service every piano as if it were my own.
